A bit more info about Stinson Beach Reunion


Hello All -

I have already got some responses regarding the weekend. I am glad to see that there is so much enthusiasm out there! I am getting very excited! I was thinking that a bit more information might help you all in your deliberations:

1) if we choose to rent another house in the Seadrift community, they run from about 650-1000 per weekend for a three bedroom house. If we all were to split this cost, even if it was 1000 it would get pretty cheap (if we had 20 people total we are talking $50 each for the entire weekend).

2) if anyone can't decide until later in the game, or would prefer to stay in a hotel room, there are two hotels and a bed and breakfast in the town of Stinson, which is a short drive or bike ride from the main house.

So please don't let apprehension about the sleeping arrangements deter you from coming on the trip. There are plenty of options for everyone's budget and preferences.

The only thing of concern is that if we rent another house we need to do it soon. If we decide to go ahead with renting a house Lucy and I can cover the deposit, but we need to keep in mind that we will need to cancel at least 30 days in advance. and even if we do that they will still deduct $100 from our deposit.

If we don't feel ready to commit to the second house that is fine, just may have to find individual lodgings if we end up having a group too big for Lucy's house, and overall I think that would be less affordable since hotels are expensive and we probably wouldn't all split the total cost in the same way if we are in separate hotels. In that case I would propose that the beds in the house be split up based on financial need. But we could all talk about that as the time gets closer.

I hope this email didn't confuse everyone more, especially since it was meant to clarify things. I fear it might, but will send it anyway in the hopes that it is helpful.
